Happy Lame Duck Day
Instead of being either political by celebrating the exit of public officials from office or humanitarian by splinting wounded limbs of the city’s ducks, I did what I do best….eat. I ate chicken nuggets, which we all know are not made from ducks….they’re probably not even made from chickens, but they’re some sort of fowl conglomeration which sufficed. So I wore my bird shirt, my bird earrings, made slight quaking noises and ate my nuggets in peace.
